The title of the whole ensemble is Saturday Afternoon. It is a documentary about the village football league. I‘ve played football since I was a kid and this set was such a memento for me. As time went on since I played football I started to feel a dislike for it and so did the whole community around the football ground. In this series of photographs I am looking for the last nice aspects of this game that has been fundamental to me since I was a kid.
I am attaching photographs from the Unicov Fotofestival, where I exhibited this series. I had the opportunity to use a small grassy patch next to the housing estate, where I lined the pitch myself and printed the photographs on fabric and displayed them as corner flags.
