trophies
I remember the sight of a pot of boiling water with antlers sticking out. I wonder what kind of it makes sense. Why do we feel the need to hang dead animals, often killed by us, on the wall. If it‘s or purely as a sport, where their trophy collection determines their social hunting status. In general, the hunt for trophy hunting is a worldwide problem where people pay for the opportunity to shoot a capital piece. At the shooting site, they drive up in their super expensive car and then they just pull the trigger. With the tradition of any kind of hunting or ritual. We can declare it dirty business, which is still the trend nowadays. The heads of the hunters spinning on the wooden base my dad carved lead me to the view from the victim who is killed for aesthetic value and prestige. It‘s the ability to kill glorified in our society to the point where we are able to to pay for it and brag about the result to our loved ones? So, as in my last project, I use 3D animations of hunters that I scanned with my camera. At the same time I attach the object printed on 3D printer, which is the room at my grandfather‘s house, which I also scanned into the model and then into reality. I‘m trying to bring the view of my childhood into a sterile space of an urban gallery.
