ABOUT
Vojtěch Plhák (1999) is photographer, currently studying a Master's degree at the Department of Photography at FAMU in Prague in the studio of Rudy Prekop. He attended the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava and Tomáš Bat'a University in Zlín, where he studied photography. In his work he is actively focused on hunting, in which he tries to find the limits of ethics and explores this social bubble in all directions. Furthermore, he documents the life and transformation of his father while searching for a spiritual level. He works with classical photography and large format Linhof Technique, as well as video, 3D animation and in his latest work with the object. Vojtěch Plhak's work has been exhibited in group exhibitions such as the Prostějov Contemporary Art Festival, City Surfer Office Gallery in Prague, PIRSC Porcelain Gallery, Zahorian & Van Espen, and the UFF Festival in Uničov. At the same time, he is also a commercial photographer, having collaborated with Harper's Bazaar, Czechdesign, Fashion event Dotek and also with students of fashion design in Zlín. In 2024 he was nominated for the "Personality of Czech Photography under 30" award.
